Comenius Project "SEA:Richness of Inspirations"
Objetives of the Partnership
Within the confines of the carried out project we are going to extend the knowledge about our region and familiarize with the regions of our partners in the following areas:
- History and maritime traditions
- Maritime literature and arts
Tourism and leisure - Fauna and flora
- Ecology of the seas and the seaside areas
- The industry determined by the geographical location by the sea
By examining and introducing the above mentioned subjects we are going to achieve the following goals:
- Getting to know the well-deserved people of the sea and their work as the example of the right ways of self-development of young people
- Improving the abilities of environment observation and getting information about the cities, regions and seas
- Enhancing the sense of respect towards cultural heritage of different nations
- Learning about the maritime artistic works – literature, painting, sculpture, music
- Getting familiar with characteristic features of natural environments of various sea regions
- Discovering the economic advantages of the seaside areas
- Discovering the tourist attractions of the towns and cities located by the sea, sightseeing
- Looking into the nature and character of jobs done by the people connected with the sea
- Studying various kinds of the sea pollution and the possible ways of ecological coexistence with the seas
- Making students more and more aware of the natural dangers which can be caused by the sea
- Improving communication skills in English language, learning basic vocabulary and phrases of co-partner countries
- Enriching the teaching experience by sharing individually worked out methods
- Encouraging healthy and active style of life and leisure – yachting, beach volleyball, seaside walking
- Forcing creativity, developing esthetic sensibility, literary and cultural hobbies
- Equipping students with the ability to present and share the knowledge acquired in the course of learning
- Stimulating the curiosity of the world and people
- Activating the disabled students to participate in various thematic projects,
To achieve the above mentioned goals we are going to apply the following methods:

Partnership and Distribution of Tasks
The planning, execution, monitoring and assessment of the project are to be conducted and shared equally by all the cooperants. The coordinating institution is in charge of controlling the deadlines of the project. It is also responsible for handing in the common documents of the partnership group to the suitable supervising institution and informing about potential formal changes. To achieve success of the project all the participating institutions are obliged to communicate regularly with the remaining copartners and carry out the assigned tasks on time, according to accepted objectives.
Cooperation and Communication
Successful cooperation and communication guarantying the execution of the goals will be achieved by applying: communicative technologies (e-mailing, virtual conferences, telephone calls, faxes, writing letters and sending parcels) Each participant will regularly share the information concerning the realization of the assigned tasks by means of the above mentioned methods approximately once or twice a fortnight or immediately after completing a particular task or stage of work. Moreover the partners will meet face to face during the partner to partner visits.
European Added Value Evaluation
The aim of taking up and realization of the project is to achieve measurable benefits for the school:
- improving teaching and learning methods and exchanging previously gained experience in order to advance the level of schooling
- elevating the process of education to a European level
- stimulating intercultural integration of all the children including in particular the ones with special education and schooling needs
- creating the image of the school as a modern, open, attractive and student friendly institution
for students
- extending the knowledge of other cultures
- increasing learning motivation of students
- having opportunity to use and improve the level of foreign language competence
- building up the student-school relationship
- diversifying the means and methods of acquiring knowledge
- establishing new contacts with the peers from other countries and thus strengthening the sense of one’s own confidence and merit
for teachers:
- advancing qualification in the field of intercultural education
- enriching and varying teachers’ own work
- exchanging and gaining new experience
- using and improving foreign language competence
- developing interpersonal skills and group cooperation
Active Involvement
All the students have equal right to take action in the project. Those actions will be taken during personal meetings with the peers from partnering countries and during the school year at school. The arrangement of the assignments will allow the participation of handicapped students. Students with movement dysfunction will be able to take part in the project by making use of computer and multimedia techniques. During the meetings those students will be able to acquire the knowledge and experiences through face to face contact with the peers from their partners’ countries, getting to know their hometowns and how they are influenced by culture and geography. During the project all the children will be engaged in gathering information concerning particular topics, documenting and sharing acquired knowledge. They will be developing and improving their language skills in English. They will achieve that by correspondence with their foreign peers. Students will be involved in realization of the tasks at every stage of the project, since the beginning to its final moment. They have the right to express opinions and submit their ideas. Activities Dissemination and Use of Results
Spreading the experiences, effects and products will be conducted by:
- organizing school exhibitions (photo galleries, albums, posters, travel souvenirs)
- sending out the aftereffects of the project to cooperating institutions
- exhibiting the information on the boards in classrooms and halls
- informing the media
- placing the information on website
- presenting reports from the realization of the project during teaching staff meetings
- organizing artistic events (recording them)
- creating the album with music typical to the regions of the partnering countries
- making a calendar with pictures presenting fauna and flora of the seaside countries
- presentation of the self-made tourist guide book showing interesting sights of particular region
- making and spreading in the local community a multimedia presentation based on the knowledge, experiences gained during face to face meetings with partners
